Macular Degeneration Foundation is represented on the AMD Alliance International Board of Directors by Ms Julie Heraghty.

Julie Heraghty is Chief Executive Officer of the Macular Degeneration Foundation. She spent over seven years as a Policy Advisor to NSW State Ministers across three major portfolios.

Her career began as a secondary school teacher and she later qualified as a registered psychologist and worked in schools with students, teachers and parents.

Ms. Heraghty has served as a Director and Manager in major Government Departments including Education and Training as well as Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources.
