Pro Retina Deutschland is represented on the AMD Alliance International Board of Directors by Dr. Rainald von Gizycki.

Dr. Rainald von Gizycki is senior researcher and project leader at Humboldt University, Charite Eye Clinic Campus Virchow clinics, Berlin. He is involved in projects dealing with rare retinal degenerative diseases.

Since 1998, Dr. von Gizycki has been an evaluator in the 4th and 5th R&D Framework Programmes of the European Commission

In addition to his valuable contribution to AMD Alliance International, Dr. von Gizycki has volunteered with many organizations, including Retina International, Retina Europe, Pro Retina Deutschland, and the Council of the European Patient Forum.
