DANIEL D. GARRETT

Prevent Blindness America is represented on the AMD Alliance International Board of Directors by Mr. Daniel Garrett. Mr. Garrett also serves as Treasurer to the AMD Alliance International.

Daniel D. Garrett has a long and distinguished career in the not-for-profit sector. He worked for more than five years at the American Red Cross managing marketing and communications activities and as Director of Marketing. He was also principal at Garrett & Associates; a marketing and communications firm for non-profit organizations.

At Prevent Blindness America (PBA), Mr. Garrett serves as Senior Vice President, overseeing marketing, communications, governmental affairs, resource development, and national program activities. He was responsible for leading national and grassroots efforts to lobby Congress for a vision loss prevention program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Mr. Garrett continues to raise millions of dollars from both private and public sectors for the PBA mission.

In addition to his valuable contribution to AMD Alliance International, he serves on several boards of directors including Research to Prevention Coalition and the National Council on Patient Information & Education (NCPIE).
